In 1996,the Kandang Kerbau Hospital in Singapore delivered 39,856 babies and was cited in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's busiest maternity hospital.One million two hundred thousand babies have been delivered there since the hospital opened 71 years ago.As Singapore has population of about 2.5 million,this means that about 40% of country's population was born there.
